Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Test Automation Engineering Intern to help develop software, tools, and test infrastructure used across our testing operations for spacecraft technology.

You will collaborate with test engineers and operations in Redondo Beach and Mojave to deploy, validate, and troubleshoot software and control systems, and participate in code reviews to improve development workflows.

Qualifications

Recent completion of or actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
Demonstrated coursework or hands-on experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language.
Ability to take ownership of projects in a small, fast-paced team.
Interest in software that interacts with hardware, sensors, or control systems.

Responsibilities

Support the deployment, integration, and debugging of software tools used for data acquisition, hardware control, automation, and test operations.
Participate in test operations by configuring, validating, and troubleshooting software and control systems.
Collaborate with test engineers and operations teams in Redondo Beach and Mojave to ensure software meets real test needs.
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and improvements to development workflows (including git).
