Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with hardware-controlling software experience.
  • Experience in software programming such as C, Python, Matlab, and other common measurement automation and analysis tools.
  • Organize and manage multiple projects and priorities; analyze data quickly to meet time-to-market needs.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on in a team atmosphere.
  • Experience with controlling automated RF & Microwave test equipment using SCPI protocol is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Test Automation Engineer Intern at Marki Microwave you will work with our Test Engineering team to develop and deploy into production software-based test methodologies for Marki best-in-class RF and microwave products. You will work on applying software to automate manual testing, from equipment setup and calibration, and data collection through to data review and product disposition. This internship opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking to apply their engineering and programming skills to work on an impactful project in a state-of-the-art microelectronics manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Test Engineering on software to automate manual bench testing.
  • Work hands-on with Engineering and Manufacturing Test teams to understand how RF components are manually tested and test results collected.
  • Create or modify existing software code either from in-house development or co-developed using the Keysight PathWave Test Automation suite, to automate the manual test process.
  • Troubleshoot test and measurement issues including equipment setup, calibration and test conditions to confirm that testing is performed accurately. Creatively solve problems with systematic solutions.
  • Develop and manage databases and Analysis/Utility tools.
  • Document your development work including any release notes, setup/maintenance guides, operator training and/or work instructions.
  • Manage priorities and communicate regularly with your manager on progress and challenges.
  • Report out project results to the management team at the end of the internship.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and experience using software to control hardware.
  • Experience in software programming such as C, Python, Matlab, and other common measurement automation and analysis tools.
  • Able to organize and manage multiple, simultaneous projects and priorities; generate and analyze data quickly and efficiently to meet time-to-market needs.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to work with a hands-on approach in a team atmosphere.
  • Experience with controlling automated RF & Microwave test equipment using SCPI protocol is a plus.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Test Equipment knowledge – Operation of Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Power Supplies, Signal Generators
  • Python Libraries - numpy, pandas, scikit-rf, matplotlib
  • Data Analytics – Ability to collect, parse, and analyze Test Data
  • Visualization Tools: Familiarity with data visualization using Excel and Python libraries
