Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Software Development Engineer II in Test to advance the quality of software used in medical devices. You will design and implement automated and manual testing, collaborating across software, systems, and quality teams to ensure robust product quality and compliance.

The role emphasizes developing automated test frameworks, participating in design reviews, and driving test documentation and CI/CD integration within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a software-related field with 2+ years of software development or software test experience, or a Master’s degree.
• 2 years of Java development and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for software verification activities.
• Author, review, and execute software test protocols for automated and manual testing.
• Analyze and document test execution results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Review software requirements to ensure completeness, testability, and traceability.
• Participate in software architecture, design, and source code reviews.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution activities.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and quality teams throughout product development.
• Identify and implement process and test automation improvements.
