Job summary

Swoop Technologies in Minneapolis/St. Paul seeks a Systems Test Engineer to build, scale, and operate Swoop's testing and tooling infrastructure across hardware, embedded systems and a high performance web application, ensuring robust automation.

You will automate unit, functional and end-to-end tests, configure tests in CI/CD, guide adoption of testing best practices, guard against regressions, collaborate with engineers to shift testing left, and support deployment engineers as we translate

Qualifications

• 3+ years writing automated testing and tooling with Python and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and build systems.
• Experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
• Willing to travel 5–20% and able to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and operate testing and tooling infrastructure.
• Automate unit, functional, and end-to-end tests.
• Configure tests in CI/CD environments.
• Drive best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Ensure no regressions and conduct manual testing when needed.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate testing early in development.
