Job summary

Swoop Technologies is seeking a Deployment and Test Engineer to bridge cutting-edge development with real-world operations across staging, testing, and production environments.

You will collaborate with Product and DevOps teams to deploy, integrate, and sustain technology for mission-critical customers, building reliable CI/CD pipelines and automation while ensuring security and compliance. You’ll support post-deployment validation and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Active US Secret Security clearance
• 3–5+ years in DoD network environments (deployment, release engineering, or related roles)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with ability to translate findings into actions
• Strong OSI networking knowledge, DoD context
• Ability to work independently with technical and non-technical partners in dynamic environments
• Experience across CI/CD, containers, version control, cloud, automation, and monitoring
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute software deployments across staging, testing, and production environments
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to plan deployment activities
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor and troubleshoot deployment processes; resolve failures
• Automate deployment tasks to reduce manual effort
• Maintain documentation of deployment procedures and configurations
• Perform post-deployment testing for functionality and performance
• Maintain deployment tools and scripts for reliability and automation
• Provide support to development in testing, validating, and deploying changes
• Manage deployments on AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI
• Ensure security and operational standards during deployments
• Provide status updates on progress and risks to stakeholders
