Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Test Engineer — Automation with 5+ years of experience to design, build, test, and maintain automated test systems supporting flight hardware production and validation. You will develop Python scripts for sequencing, data acquisition, and control, and integrate embedded hardware with protocols like I2C, SPI, CAN, and UART.

This hands-on role requires strong hardware/software troubleshooting and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of engineering experience in test, automation, robotics, aerospace, or related field.
Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Hands-on experience with embedded hardware, electronics, and microcontrollers.
Experience with industrial automation or automated test systems.
Knowledge of actuators and mechanisms.
Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
Aerospace, flight avionics, or systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems, automation panels, and fixtures.
Write and maintain Python scripts for test sequencing, data acquisition, and instrument control.
Integrate microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded hardware into test systems.
Work with I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, and other communication protocols.
Perform testing and characterization of mechanisms and actuators.
Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues.
Work with engineering teams to align test systems with flight system architecture.
Document test systems, procedures, and results.
