Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Principal Test Engineer to lead test architecture for distributed, cloud-enabled mission applications in a high-security environment. You will define verification strategies, implement DevSecOps-aligned tests, and guide multi-team integration across CONUS/OCONUS sites.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and onsite work in Aurora, CO. Travel up to 25% may be required and security controls are paramount.

Qualifications

• Experience in system verification, test engineering, or integration engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to develop test procedures, automated scripts, and structured verification plans.
• Experience with cloud based, distributed, or containerized systems.
• Understanding of interface and configuration management practices.
• Typically requires a STEM degree with 8+ years' experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required and U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the program’s test architecture and end to end verification strategy.
• Create automated and manual test approaches aligned with DevSecOps deployment pipelines.
• Oversee installation, deployment, and test of cloud enabled mission applications across enclaves.
• Review verification strategies, test procedures, automated scripts, and manual tests.
• Execute test demonstrations, evaluate results, and verify acceptance criteria have been met.
• Maintain test artifacts and configuration consistency through disciplined configuration processes.
