SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a Test Administrator to support summer testing along with fall and spring semesters. Hours may fluctuate and include evenings.

The role assists in the administration and proctoring of testing for the Testing Center and reports to the Department Chair of the Student Success Center. The Test Administrator ensures students follow Testing Center procedures, maintains confidentiality, and upholds FERPA guidelines while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to watch training videos, review training manuals, along with short quizzes for proctoring student exams.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with diverse groups including students and faculty.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening hours.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Proctors a variety of computer-based and paper tests, including course exams and other testing as needed.
  • Performs data entry and assists with regular staff duties, such as filing, scanning, printing, and emailing exams.
  • Inventories exams for upcoming appointments and communicates with instructors via email if exams are missing.
  • Protects the confidentiality and security of all testing materials and other test documents while providing excellent customer service.
  • Understands, adheres to, and enforces FERPA guidelines.
  • Reports academic dishonesty incidents to the Student Success Center Chair.
  • Assists with incidents by utilizing Testing Center Policy and assists in investigations as needed.
  • Ensure that any equipment used during testing is working properly.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Additional Information
  • The hourly rate for this position is $20.97.
  • Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
