Job summary

Thompson Safety is seeking a proactive service/sales professional to service and grow an assigned customer base in the Tampa area. The role focuses on building territory with Account Executives and exceeding customer expectations through timely service and effective communication.

Responsibilities include initiating new business via cold calls, maintaining regular customer contact, participating in vendor and company trainings, and supporting marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Familiar with codes, products attributes, and procedures within the safety field.
• General awareness of business, financials, sales, and safety principles.
• Proficient with technology to enhance the customer experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing new business opportunities through cold calls and leads.
• Establishes contact and comfort level between the customer and company staff.
• Maintains contact with customers through sales calls and scheduled service frequency.
• Develops new and existing skills through educational programs with Company-provided and vendor-supported training.
• Assists in company marketing programs/initiatives.
• Contacts potential customers to initiate the sales process.
• Observes and benchmarks other Service Representatives and Sales Executives to replicate best practices.
• Consistently introduces and implements new products and services to assigned accounts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
