Job summary

Acosta Sales & Marketing is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow distribution and display activity in assigned California Retail territories. You will meet with potential and existing customers, present proposals, and negotiate terms to drive product adoption and shelf presence.

This full-time position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to plan routes, and comfortable use of an iPad for reporting. A valid driver's license and driving a van are expected daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to read and follow a plan-o-gram (POG).
• Must be able to drive a commercial van.
• Sales or consumer goods experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional product presentations to current Retail customers
• Stimulate market growth through new distribution and coverage in independent Retail C-Stores that are supplied by cash & carry and c-store distributors in assigned geography
• Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
• Achieving sales goals and brand building presence and merchandising
• Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
• Assists customers with ordering information and configurations; provides quotations on customer requirements and provides appropriate follow up
• Utilize iPad technology for reporting all inventory/sales made daily and weekly
• Perform any other appropriately related duty as requested by the Sales Manager
• Be able to drive a company van (Ford Transit, Connect or similar) throughout the work day
• Manage cash and client product inventory
• Must have a valid driver’s license—noCDL necessary
• Ability to follow navigation/directions, communicate, and solve customer challenges that might arise
