Title: Territory Sales Manager, Public Sector
Location: US Remote
Division: Owner & Public Sector - Local Government - Major Market

Join us at Trimble and use your creativity and entrepreneurial drive to help sell Trimble’s asset lifecycle management solutions to local government agencies.

What You Will Do

You’ll lead and execute Trimble’s sales process to pursue new logo accounts and support account expansion at existing customers assigned to you. You will focus on public sector agencies that benefit from Trimble’s world-class asset management lifecycle (ALM) solution suite. This suite comprises best of breed technologies to help public agencies manage the complex workflows across the Design, Permit, Build and Maintenance phases of public infrastructure management. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the sales cycle including inbound leads, prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, negotiation, and closing.

Responsibilities
  • B2G territory sales with a focus on prospecting, presenting, and selling complex software products and services to new public agency logos, as well as named enterprise customers, generating new revenue and growing existing revenue.
  • Develop business and account plans to grow the pipeline, including account profiling, positioning strategy, pre-call planning, customer needs analysis, business justifications, partner alignment, and sales opportunity development.
  • Build meaningful customer relationships with Directors, VPs, and C-level executives.
  • Engage in consultative solution selling, solving complex problems and demonstrating real value.
  • Understand customer requirements to recommend and sell Trimble products or industry solutions effectively.
  • Leverage insights to educate customers on transforming their project and asset lifecycle management with Trimble Unity Suite.
  • Expand opportunities and increase deal sizes through up-selling and cross-selling of Trimble’s portfolio.
  • Stay informed about competitors to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive acquisition, renewal, and expansion.
  • Work with Legal and Deal Desk teams on deal structuring and execution.
  • Provide accurate forecasts using our sales processes and methodologies.
  • Demonstrate Trimble values, maintain a positive demeanor, and foster teamwork and collaboration, adapting to change.
Skills and Experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of direct quota-carrying sales experience selling complex technology solutions, with SaaS experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in pipeline development and quota achievement.
  • Strong opportunity qualification skills (MEDDPIC).
  • Experience with consultative, solution-based sales methodologies (Challenger a plus).
  • Business case development and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to build relationships with partners and management teams.
  • Experience in navigating complex contracts and long sales cycles.
  • Experience selling to C-level executives.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and CRM opportunity management.
  • Excellent communication skills, including conducting product demos.
Salary

200k - 250k OTE +/-
