Territory Manager - Payroll/ HCM

At Heartland, we are passionate about delivering amazing Payroll/ HCM solutions to help businesses operate, increase sales, engage guests, and improve daily operations. We know that running a restaurant or retail store is tough, and we're looking for a Territory Sales Manager to help us bring our solutions to merchants throughout the area.

As a Territory Sales Manager, you'll drive revenue growth, bring in new business, and lead a team of sales professionals. You'll work closely with your Division Manager to set appointments with business owners via phone, face-to-face, and referral partnerships. You'll then conduct appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland solutions to close sales in target markets such as restaurants, retail, medical, manufacturing, lodging, auto repair, salons, and more.

During training, your Division Manager will accompany you on initial appointments to train you on our sales process and CRM platform, Atlas. You'll also coach and train your team to achieve their sales goals. You'll have the flexibility to set your schedule, work from home, and maximize residual income.

In addition to sales, you'll recruit, hire, and grow your sales team, sharing our belief that people are our greatest asset.

Compensation is performance-based, with weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership. If you're a consultative sales professional passionate about Payroll/HCM solutions, we want to hear from you!

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Deliver enthusiastic sales presentations
  • Use Atlas CRM on your iPad or tablet to demonstrate our solutions
  • Educate business owners and referral partners about Payroll/HCM
  • Maintain communication with your Division Manager
  • Train and coach sales reps
  • Support reps in the field using our sales playbook
  • Scout for talent and conduct interviews
Other Responsibilities:
  • Network locally to find sales reps
  • Exhibit prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Be a performance-driven sales "hunter"
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Thrive on cold-calling and face-to-face conversations
  • Have a proven track record of pipeline development and closing sales
  • Be part of business or merchant groups (a plus)
  • Possess bilingual skills (a plus)
  • This is a work-from-home field sales leadership role; travel as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license for client visits
  • Background check and drug screening as required by law
  • Reside near the job location
  • Ability to be in the field at least 75% of the time
Compensation & Benefits:
  • W2 employment with medical, dental, life, and disability benefits
  • Uncapped weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership, with first-year earnings expected to be $90,000 - $105,000+
