Territory Manager - Payroll/ HCM

We know that running a restaurant or retail store is tough, and that it takes a special kind of person to thrive in this business. That's why we're looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join our team and help us bring our innovative solutions to merchants throughout the area.

As a Territory Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business with your own sales from prospects while also recruiting, growing, and leading a team of sales professionals. Using a consultative approach, you'll work closely with your local Division Manager to set appointments with business owners over the phone, face-to-face, through your network, and via referral partnerships that you build.

You'll run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland solutions to close sales in target markets such as restaurants, retail, medical, manufacturing, lodging, auto repair, salons, and more.

During training, your Division Manager will accompany you on initial appointments to train you on our sales process using Atlas, our CRM platform. You'll also work with Relationship Managers to help them achieve their sales goals through coaching and training. You will have the freedom to set your own schedule while working mainly from a home office, with the opportunity for residual income on your business.

Additionally, you'll play a role in recruiting, hiring, and growing your sales team, sharing our belief that our people are our greatest asset. Compensation is performance-based, with weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership as you meet and exceed targets. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations with enthusiasm
  • Use Atlas CRM to demonstrate our solutions effectively
  • Educate business owners and referral partners about Payroll/HCM services
  • Maintain communication with your Division Manager
  • Train and coach sales reps under you
  • Support your team in the field using our sales playbook
  • Scout for talent and conduct interviews
Other Responsibilities:
  • Network locally to find sales reps
  • Exhibit prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Be a performance-driven sales "hunter"
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity
  • Possess high sales talent and a sense of urgency
  • Thrive on cold-calling and face-to-face conversations
  • Have a proven track record in sales and pipeline development
  • Be part of business or merchant associations (a plus)
  • Possess bilingual skills (a plus)
  • This is a work-from-home opportunity, requiring travel to client sites
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive regularly
  • Background check and drug screening required
  • Live near the job location
  • Ability to spend at least 75% of time in the field
Compensation & Benefits:
  • W2 employment with health benefits
  • Uncapped weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership, with an average first-year earning potential of $90,000 - $105,000+
