Territory Manager - Payroll/ HCM

We understand the challenges of running a restaurant or retail store and seek a Territory Sales Manager to help us bring our innovative solutions to merchants in the area.

As a Territory Sales Manager, you'll drive revenue growth and acquire new business from prospects, while also recruiting and leading a team of sales professionals. You'll work closely with your Division Manager to set appointments with business owners via phone, face-to-face meetings, your network, and referral partnerships. You will conduct appointments, identify needs, and present Heartland solutions to close sales in target markets such as restaurants, retail, medical, manufacturing, lodging, auto repair, and salons.

During training, your Division Manager will accompany you on initial appointments to train you on our sales process using Atlas, our tablet-based CRM platform. You'll also coach your sales team to achieve their goals, with the flexibility to set your own schedule and work primarily from a home office, leveraging residual income from your sales.

Additionally, you'll play a key role in recruiting, hiring, and developing your sales team, sharing our belief that our people are our greatest asset.

Compensation is performance-based, including weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership. We seek a consultative sales professional passionate about delivering Payroll/HCM solutions to restaurants and retail stores.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging sales presentations
  • Utilize Atlas CRM to demonstrate our value
  • Educate business owners and referral partners about Payroll/HCM
  • Maintain communication with your Division Manager
  • Train and coach sales reps to succeed
  • Support sales reps in the field using our sales playbook
  • Scout and interview potential sales talent
Other Responsibilities:
  • Network locally to find sales reps
  • Exhibit prospecting, communication, and networking skills
  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Be a proactive sales 'hunter'
  • Maintain professionalism and integrity
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and innate sales talent
  • Excel in cold-calling and face-to-face conversations
  • Proven track record in pipeline development and closing sales
  • Participation in business or merchant associations is a plus
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • This is a work-from-home field sales leadership role; bring your iPad and Atlas!
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license for regular client site visits
  • Background check and drug screening as per legal requirements
  • Reside near the job location
  • Ability to spend at least 75% of time in the field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years relevant sales experience
  • B2B sales, cold calling, and successful sales performance

  • Industry knowledge of merchant payments

Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, with guaranteed minimum wages and additional commissions.
