Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Territory Manager for Shaw Carpet to maintain and grow profitability and market share across a defined area. You will build relationships with retail dealers, designers, and end-users, presenting Shaw Floors and related products, while tracking leads and reports in Salesforce.com.

You will travel regularly, assemble displays, and manage sample budgets, with a focus on customer service, integrity, and meeting sales targets in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous sales experience required.
• Able to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
• The candidate must have the ability to use a laptop computer and MS Office.
• Applicants must also be physically able to assemble and take down display fixtures.
• Territory Managers must travel in a vehicle that can carry a number of product sample boards; van or approved SUV.
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs regularly.
• Must reside within Mobile, AL metro.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on soft surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
• Present products to retail dealers, designers and end-users; analyze leads from corporate reports.
• Sell and construct display racks weighing 50lbs or more.
• Prospect for viable new accounts while monitoring the geographic area.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and sales; show volume and potential.
• Communicate periodic sales reports, outlining actual sales, goals, market conditions and product needs.
• Analyze sales statistics using territory reports to set goals and aid dealers.
• Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures and sample budgets.
• Enter customer interactions and key information into Salesforce.com.
• Promote residential products and educate customers on Shaw Floors, A/T and Philly Commercial.
