Ready to own a territory and sell products people actually get excited about? We've partnered with an industry leader with over 70 years of experience designing and supplying custom souvenirs and promotional merchandise for zoos, aquariums, museums, theme parks, resorts, gift shops, and other attractions across the globe.
From concept and design to sourcing, manufacturing, and logistics, they help customers create memorable, branded merchandise that enhances the guest experience. They're looking to add a Territory Sales Manager to cover the West Coast/Northwest and continue expanding relationships across a thriving territory.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and grow the territory across the West Coast/Northwest (plus Alaska; Canada optional).
- Prospect, develop, and close new business while growing existing customer relationships.
- Call on retail buyers, purchasing directors, marketing managers, gift shop managers, and owners at attractions and specialty retailers.
- Sell custom souvenir, gift, and apparel programs tailored to each customer's brand.
- Attend industry trade shows throughout the year to generate new business and strengthen customer relationships.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of outside sales or territory management experience selling custom souvenirs, promotional merchandise, gift products, or custom apparel.
- Comfortable traveling and building long-term customer relationships.
- Must be customer-facing and passionate about winning new business; not solely supporting existing accounts behind the scenes.
- Candidates with direct souvenir industry experience are highly preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Spend 1–2 weeks each month traveling throughout your assigned territory visiting customers and developing new business.
- Attend 1–3 industry trade shows per quarter, with trade shows occurring more frequently during the fall season and less often in the spring.
- When not traveling, you'll work remotely from your home office, prospecting new accounts, scheduling customer meetings, following up on opportunities, and collaborating with customers on artwork approvals and custom product development.
- $100,000 base salary in Year 1 to help you ramp and build your territory.
- After Year 1, transition to a flexible draw structure, allowing you to choose your draw amount based on your projected sales.
- Uncapped commission: 6% on the first $1M in merchandise cash receipts and 8% on all merchandise cash receipts above $1M
- Comprehensive benefits package plus travel reimbursement—a major advantage in an industry where many competitors offer commission-only compensation with limited or no benefits.
- High earning potential: Strong performers have a realistic opportunity to earn $350,000+ annually by Year 3.
