Job summary

Indelco Plastics is seeking a sales-oriented professional to sell, build, and maintain a customer and sales base within a specified territory. The role involves frequent customer contact via email, phone, fax, letters, and in-person visits, and uses experience to generate quotes and close orders.

Travel to customer sites is required. A two-year degree or equivalent with sales/customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years of related sales or customer service experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance policy.
• Travel to customer or supplier sites as needed

Responsibilities

• Sell, build, and maintain a customer and sales base within the specified territory to respond to inquiries.
• Contact and visit customers by email, phone, fax, letter, and personal visits.
• Compiles list of prospective customers for use as sales leads from directories and sources.
• Generates written quotes with supporting correspondence to qualified prospects and follows up until the order is placed, lost, or opportunity is closed.
• Talks with existing customers to determine current/future needs and satisfaction and build relationships.
• Introduce new products to clients using samples, displays, or catalogs and emphasize salable features.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders as necessary.
• Communicates with the warehouse on estimated delivery dates to the customer.
• Attend sales meetings and keep Sales Manager informed on whereabouts for scheduling.
• Maintain Outlook calendar, prepare call reports, and keep vehicle/maintenance logs.
• Cover customer service duties as needed in the absence of other personnel.

Education
