Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I for the Newark, DE area. You will perform specimen collection across assigned PSCs and client sites, ensuring accurate labeling and adherence to testing protocols. The role requires travel up to 75% and strong communication with patients and staff.

Hours vary from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekends on a rotation. A phlebotomy certification is required in CA, NV, WA, and LA, plus HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA, and LA.
• Travel up to 75%.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary draws following established procedures.
• Ensure correct patient identification and specimen labeling accuracy.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing, including labeling and storage as required.
• Verify orders and client information using lab systems.
