Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for a floating Territory in Elgin, IL. The role involves travel within the designated territory to collect specimens, assuring patient identification, and adherence to testing protocols to support top-quality lab results.

The position requires independence, strong communication, and the ability to handle complex collections. Travel up to 75% is expected, with a schedule that includes rotating Fridays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Two years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA and LA.
• English required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections following established procedures for a variety of tests, including venipuncture and capillary draws.
• Obtain patient identification and signatures to confirm specimen labeling accuracy and data entry as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and storage as required by test order.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab technology systems.
