Job summary

Sysco is seeking an outside sales professional to promote our products and services and build relationships with new and existing accounts in California. You may work non-traditional hours to meet customer needs and travel to client sites, conventions, and meetings.

The role focuses on promoting growth, meeting sales and profit goals, and providing training to customer personnel while collaborating with credit and routing teams. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related field.
• Or HSD/GED with 3 years in restaurant management, B2B or outside sales, or Sysco internship.
• Bi-Lingual preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and objectives within territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects following account stratification goals.
• Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products based on business needs.
• Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers.
• Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and product use.
