This field-based role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work.

The Field Sales Manager (FSM) is the primary point of contact between Harley-Davidson and our dealers and is responsible for driving motorcycle, P&A, and A&L product sales growth, while achieving annual retail sales targets through the collection of dealerships in their district/territory. FSMs are highly effective at communicating H-D strategies, programs, & policies intended to drive sales, assist dealers, and support customers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate all HDMC programs, policies, and initiatives, including HDMC’s Hardwire Strategic Plan.
  • Analyze dealership performance through a variety of KPI’s to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Support dealers with the development of business plans that will drive customer engagement and generate leads.
  • Consult with dealers on all aspects of marketing and event planning.
  • Manage the monthly allocation process effectively with dealers.
  • Operate with a clear understanding of all facets of dealership operations and utilize resources that implement best practices.
Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Education Specifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in field positions (sales and/or after-sales).
Experience Requirements
  • Effective written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills, including understanding KPI’s, financial statements, and forecasts.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and inventory management.
  • Very adept at leveraging technology for virtual interactions.
  • Ability to ride a motorcycle is preferred.
  • Must be capable of working flexible hours as required.
  • Must accept and live by the Harley-Davidson belief in being FAIR, HONEST, POSITIVE, & CREATIVE.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Travel is up to 50-70%, depending on the territory required for this position.
