Job summary

Cyncon Equipment is seeking a driven Territory Manager to grow sales across the Syracuse market. This role focuses on building long-term municipal and contractor relationships, presenting equipment in field settings, and identifying new business opportunities within a defined territory.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of outside sales experience, strong knowledge of municipal equipment, and excellent communication skills. A CDL is required or obtainable, and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of outside sales experience in municipal, utility, or related industries.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and hitting sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of municipal equipment and fleet operations.
• Experience demonstrating equipment in field settings and at job sites.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a defined territory with multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CDL is required or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve revenue goals in the Syracuse area.
• Prospect new municipal, contractor, utility, and industrial customers and grow existing accounts.
• Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and job site evaluations.
• Build relationships with Public Works Directors, Fleet Managers, and Engineers.
• Identify customer needs and propose equipment, parts, and service solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure top-tier customer support.
• Monitor market conditions, competition, and industry trends.
• Attend trade shows, events, and association meetings to promote Cyncon Equipment.
