Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Generate sales opportunities by researching, identifying, and soliciting new accounts and distribution partnerships, providing technical knowledge, preparing solutions, and closing sales.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with distribution partners and direct customers to grow business.
• Manage manufacturer representative agencies and align Icon’s objectives with agencies in the territory.
• Develop an annual territory growth plan with key sales objectives and target accounts.
• Update the growth plan based on market trends and performance to maximize opportunities.
• Collaborate with the VP of Pro Sales to grow accounts.
• Use customer management software to track activity and pipeline.
• Attend national, industry and customer trade shows.
• Maintain product knowledge and monitor industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Territory Manager’s primary responsibility is driving sales growth within the assigned territory. This includes aggressively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, expanding the customer base by researching and soliciting new accounts, and leveraging in-depth technical and product expertise to close deals. The Territory Manager is committed to building and strengthening business relationships with existing and potential distribution partners and direct customers, with a clear focus on generating new business and increasing market share. Additionally, they actively monitor the performance of manufacturer representative agencies and work closely with the Sales Director and marketing team to develop and execute sales strategies that maximize revenue and support the company’s growth objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generates sales opportunities by researching, identifying, and soliciting new accounts and distribution partnerships, providing comprehensive technical and product knowledge, preparing product solution options, and closing the sale on accounts within the assigned territory.
• Establishes, develops, and maintains strong business relationships with current and prospective distribution partners and direct customers in the assigned territory to generate new business and grow established business.
• Effectively manages and directs manufacturer representative agencies and aligns Icon’s business objectives with those agencies in assigned territory.
• Develops a comprehensive annual territory growth plan that outlines key sales objectives, target accounts, and strategic initiatives for the year.
• Continuously reviews and updates the territory growth plan throughout the year based on market trends, sales performance, and feedback from customers and distribution partners to ensure alignment with overall business goals and maximize sales opportunities.
• Consistently collaborates with the VP of Pro Sales to ensure the proper management and growth of the accounts.
• Actively utilizes customer management software to track activity and sales pipeline opportunity.
• Participates in national, industry and customer trade shows.
• Maintains current product knowledge and understands industry-specific trends and competitive landscapes to proactively manage market opportunities and challenges.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess 3-5 years of relevant sales experience.
• Demonstrate an aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to determine solutions for customers using a consultative sales approach.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exhibit proficient reporting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications is required, and knowledge of contact management software is preferred.
• High school diploma and post-secondary degree are preferred.
