Job summary

Acadia Insurance, a Berkley company, is looking for an underwriter for its Advantage small business team in New Hampshire. You will underwrite, price, and manage new and renewal accounts while developing agency relationships and ensuring profitable growth.

Requirements include a BA/BS degree, 2–5 years of commercial P&C underwriting experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to travel. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS or bachelor-level education with related experience.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills are required.
• Analytical thinking with problem-solving ability is essential.
• Experience with on-line underwriting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and price commercial property and casualty accounts.
• Develop agency relationships and monitor performance.
• Negotiate with agents and coordinate cross-functional tasks.
• Travel within the assigned territory as needed.
