Job summary

American Merchandising Specialists, Inc. seeks a Field Sales Representative to service assigned stores, promote vendor products, and support in-store displays. You will travel to customer locations, provide product information, and train staff on applications and usage.

The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver's license. Weekend work and occasional overnights are expected, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years of vendor sales experience preferred.
• 1 year of field sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and written skills.
• Valid driver''s license and proof of insurance.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
• Willing to travel, including overnights, and work varied hours including weekends.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers to service and advise on vendor products and perform sales and support services in assigned stores.
• Travel to customer locations, servicing vendor products and maintain product displays.
• Receive and respond to customer inquiries, answering customer questions.
• Provide new product information including receiving customer feedback regarding vendor products and services.
• Support and provide product knowledge to customers by demonstrating equipment/products and providing product application training.
• Resolve customer complaints and customer/vendor differences in a timely manner.
• Facilitate sales, marketing and promotional campaigns by acquainting accounts with the latest sales techniques.
• Assist with placing special orders.
• Place items on shelving units according to the plan-o-gram.
• Manage and maintain inventory levels, make adjustments as required.
• Report weekly summary of hours, location and sales impact.
• Comply with all AMS and Customer policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Travel required which may include overnight stays.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates is required, including weekends.
• Must be Microsoft Office proficient.
• Excellent communication, presentation, written and technical skills required.
• Provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance (must meet company’s minimum requirements).
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and vendors.
• Required to lift up to 50 , this may include lifting weight above shoulders as needed
• Frequent standing, bending and twisting required.
