Job summary

American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company in Des Moines is seeking an Internal Wholesaler to implement and support Sales and Marketing strategies within an assigned territory for American Equity Life and American National annuity products.

The role partners with the Regional VP to develop goals, cultivate relationships with IMOs and agents, deliver presentations, and drive growth while traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or 4+ years of related experience.
• Experience in life insurance sales preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Regional Vice President to identify and develop relationships with IMOs and independent agents.
• Develops sales goals and marketing plans to grow sales and market share.
• Cultivates business relationships and alliances with internal and external partners.
• Conducts proactive telephone sales presentations highlighting products and value.
• Uses insights to pivot and open new opportunities for strategies and products.
• Travels up to 10% to meet with partners and attend conferences.
