Qualifications

• 2+ years outside industrial sales experience with tangible product or 2+ years customer service/inside sales with bearings/power transmission products
• Proven success in developing new business and managing a sales territory
• Mechanical aptitude and sense of urgency
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills including Excel
• Experience with power transmission, hydraulics and/or bearings preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent with valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Grow territory and earnings by acquiring new business and developing repeat business within existing accounts
• Call on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and others to determine needs via consultative approach
• Prepare quotations, proposals, negotiate terms and close transactions
• Organize and conduct training sessions for customers
• Survey market and competitive conditions
• Complete reports on itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads and related matters
• Monitor customer complaints and coordinate order delivery as needed
