Territory Account Manager – Industrial & Safety Products

Remote – Must Reside in Assigned Regional Territory - Houston, TX

Full-Time | Field-Based | Travel up to 50%

A leading manufacturer and distributor of professional-grade safety equipment, tools, and industrial products is seeking a driven and experienced Territory Account Manager to join their expanding U.S. sales team. This is a remote position focused on growing sales through distribution channels and end-user engagement across a defined regional territory.

This individual will be responsible for managing a robust book of business while developing new opportunities across construction, industrial, automotive aftermarket, and safety verticals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings experience in channel sales, product training, and distributor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of distributor and end-user accounts in your assigned region.
  • Prospect and onboard new distribution partners to expand regional market share.
  • Promote a broad portfolio of safety and industrial product lines, including new product launches.
  • Train and educate distributors and end-users on product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Support end-user engagement through product demonstrations, job site visits, and value-added service solutions.
  • Execute regional business plans aligned with national sales strategy and KPIs.
  • Maintain up-to-date CRM records and weekly activity reports.
  • Participate in regional trade shows and distributor events as needed.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party rep groups to coordinate account strategy.
  • Monitor territory performance using sales analytics and reporting tools.
  • Ensure alignment with pricing, warranty, and credit guidelines as part of account management.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of outside sales or channel sales experience in industrial supply, safety, construction, welding, or related industries.
  • Experience selling/knowledge of fall protection equipment is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-channel distributor relationships.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills with a consultative sales approach.
  • High level of initiative, organization, and autonomy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Results-oriented with strong follow-through and a strategic mindset.
  • Confident presenting to both distributors and end-users in group or one-on-one settings.
  • Comfortable navigating both in-person and digital sales environments.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality customer experiences and solutions.
