Job summary

Ayer Sales, a leading distributor of industrial piping, valves, and fittings, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to cover RI, CT, VT, and Western MA. You will drive long-term sales growth, support customers, and develop new accounts with a focus on value-based selling. Travel by car is required to meet and surpass goals.

Candidates should have strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to develop technical product knowledge while working independently in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in outside/field sales.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel across the territory regularly.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial products.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person sales coverage within the assigned territory.
• Develop maximum sales from the territory through effective sales techniques.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing accounts and grow sales volume.
• Contact customers by phone, email, or in person to meet sales goals.
• Create customized proposals to meet customer needs.
