Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company’s Schweitzer resort seeks a Seasonal Terrain Park Attendant to maintain terrain park features and ensure a fun, safe environment for guests through supervision and etiquette education.

This position requires advanced skiing or snowboarding, outdoor work in all weather, and the ability to lift 50 lbs; it offers full-time or part-time seasonal hours, employee housing, free resort pass, benefits where applicable, and access to pro deals.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: English reading, writing and communication.
• Minimum time in related position: At least 1 month related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing, and tower pads.
• Assist in setup of terrain park features.
• Inspection of freestyle terrain features visually and physically.
• Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of terrain features and equipment.
• Fill out daily logs and incident reports as needed.
• Assist with special events including construction and maintenance of event sites.
• Participate in guest education and training.
• Check park passes and enforce terrain park pass policy.

Position Summary

Responsible for monitoring and maintaining terrain park features as well as other freestyle features when applicable. Creates a fun and safe environment through crowd supervision, safety awareness education, freestyle terrain etiquette, and guest relations. Aids in design and construction of terrain park features. Enforces terrain park pass policy.

Physical Capabilities - Advanced level skiing or snowboarding with park experience required. Able to remain outside in all weather conditions for entirety of shift. Able to lift 50lbs on own and more with assistance.

Additional -Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
