Job summary

Schweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho is seeking a Terrain Park Ranger for the winter season. You will monitor and maintain terrain park features, supervise crowds, teach safety etiquette, and assist in design and construction of features.

This role requires advanced skiing or snowboarding, outdoor stamina in all weather, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Seasonal, with benefits and access to employee perks.

Qualifications

• Advanced level skiing or snowboarding with park experience.
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• English reading, writing and communication proficient.
• Minimum 1 month related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing, and tower pads.
• Assist in setup of terrain park features.
• Inspection of freestyle terrain features visually and physically.
• Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of terrain features and equipment.
• Fill out daily logs and incident reports as needed.
• Assist with special events including construction and maintenance of event sites.
• Participate in guest education and training.
• Check park passes and enforce terrain park pass policy.

Creates a fun and safe environment through crowd supervision, safety awareness education, freestyle terrain etiquette, and guest relations. Aids in design and construction of terrain park features.
