Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, Idaho is seeking an enthusiastic Terrain Park Attendant to assist the Terrain Park Manager, supervise staff, monitor features, and ensure guest safety and enjoyment. You will help design and build features, check passes, and participate in events. This is a full-time, seasonal on-site role offering benefits and growth opportunities.

Acts as host in regard to crowd supervision, safety awareness education, freestyle terrain etiquette, and guest relations. Aids in design and construction of terrain park features. Enforces terrain park pass policy. **Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:* Install and maintain park signage, closures, trail markings, fencing, and tower pads.* Assist in setup of terrain park features.* Inspection of freestyle terrain features visually and physically.* Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of terrain features and equipment.* Fill out daily logs and incident reports as needed.* Assist with special events including construction and maintenance of event sites.* Participate in guest education and training.* Assist Freestyle Terrain Manager with training, scheduling, and supervision of park staff.* Will ensure documentation is filled out completely, accurately, and objectively.* Will keep track of, and acquire supplies as needed.* Check park passes and enforce terrain park pass policy. **Secondary Responsibilities**:* Other duties as assigned.* Must gain knowledge of the services that Schweitzer Mountain Resort offers.* Frequently working around heavy equipment.* May be required to help administer first aid and assist ski patrol.* Will assist in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **Specific Job Skills**:License/Certifications- Drivers License preferred, USSA 100 Freestyle Certification or PSIA Freestyle Certification preferred.Technical- NonePhysical Capabilities- Advanced level skiing or snowboarding with park experience required. Able to remain outside in all weather conditions for entirety of shift. Able to lift 50lbs on own and more with assistance.Additional- * Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. **Education/Related Experience**:Minimum education required- English reading, writing and communication, Highschool diploma or GED preferred.Minimum time in related position- At least 1 month related experience preferred.Considered by many as the best skiing in Idaho and the best family-friendly resort in the Pacific Northwest, Schweitzer ranks as one of the nation’s top winter destinations with 2,900 acres of incredible terrain thanks to two massive bowls and renowned tree skiing.
