Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. seeks an Assistant Manager, Terrain Parks to oversee daily terrain park operations in a winter season role.

You will lead a team, partner with Snow Surfaces and Mountain Operations, and ensure safe, innovative terrain park experiences for guests while maintaining high performance teams. Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, training, and compliance with safety standards, plus coordinating with grooming, snowmaking, ski patrol, and lift operations.

Qualifications

• Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability.
• Leadership, supervisory, or crew lead experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead Safe & Exceptional Operations
• Oversee daily Terrain Park operations and venue readiness.
• Support terrain feature construction, maintenance, inspections, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operating procedures.
• Partner with Grooming, Snowmaking, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations
• Build & Develop High-Performing Teams across Snow Surfaces
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees.
• Develop schedules and staffing plans to support operational needs.
• Coach employees, provide performance feedback, and foster accountability.
• Promote employee engagement, recognition, and professional growth.
• Drive Operational Excellence
• Coordinate labor resources across Terrain Parks and Snow Surfaces operations.
• Support budgeting, inventory management, and departmental reporting.
• Monitor terrain quality, operational performance, and guest feedback.
• Support special events, competitions, and resort initiatives.
