Job Description

The Role: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) on Terrace West Provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

The Opportunity

MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on Terrace West. Terrace West is a 26 bed med/surg unit with a focus on cardiac and medical patients. Nurses on this unit love the team approach and supportive decision making that foster growth and professional development. This is a 36 hour per week position on the night shift (7p-7a). You will work three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend and holiday rotation required. $4000 Early Acceptance Incentive potential for nursing students who apply at least 6 weeks prior to their graduation date and sign their offer letter within 1 week of when the offer is presented.

The Work

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Compensation Information

$35.00 - $61.25 The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
