Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Maternal/Child Health team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The role covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Pediatrics, and the Level II Nursery on a 30-hour weekly schedule, nights, with weekend/holiday/on-call rotation.

Shifts are three 12-hour nights one week and two 12-hour nights the next. Base hourly pay ranges from $36.00 to $63.00 with additional differentials and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain one in a timely fashion.
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg, Mother/Baby, Level II or Labor & Delivery RN experience.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support needs.
• Educates patients and families appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
• May precept student nurses and new hires.

The Opportunity

MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team Maternal/Child Health team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. Maternity & Pediatrics is a department with a dynamic nursing team that covers the areas of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum (mother/baby), Pediatrics, and the Level II Nursery. This position is 30 hours per week on nights and requires weekend, holiday, and on call rotation. Schedule consists of three 12‑hour shifts one week, and two 12‑hour shifts the next.

The Work

Compensation Information:

$36.00 - $63.00The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on‑call, and other applicable differentials.
