Job summary

Buckeye Partners Lp is seeking an Apprentice Terminal Operator with 2+ years of related experience in terminal, pipeline, or marine operations in the oil & gas industry. The role trains in receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include operating terminal loading racks, maintaining equipment, and supporting inventory control, as well as coordinating with asset teams and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Train and apply knowledge for maintenance and repair of the terminal loading rack, storage and equipment; keep it in good working order and presentable.
• Learn to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products via pipeline, rail, and marine dock.
• Familiarize with terminal regulations and environmental/safety directives to ensure compliance.
• Assist in regulatory compliance communications and reporting with health, safety, security, and environmental teams.
• Maintain relationships with terminal customers and respond to inquiries as needed.
• Assist in emergencies and participate in drills; support inventory control systems and incident investigations.
