Job summary

Buckeye Partners L.P. is seeking an Apprentice Terminal Operator with 2+ years of experience in terminal, pipeline or marine operations to join our team in the United States.

The role supports operations across terminal, pipeline, marine and rail assets as applicable and focuses on safe handling, inventory control, and regulatory compliance. Learn the receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products while gaining hands-on experience with pumps, meters, and dock facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-2+ years related experience in terminal, pipeline or marine operations preferred.
• General understanding of pumps, meters, truck loading rack, and dock facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and apply knowledge for maintenance and repair of the terminal loading rack, storage and all equipment associated with terminal operations; keep it in good order and meeting company standards.
• Learn and assist with receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products via pipeline, rail and marine dock, following product movement, measurement and quality control procedures.
• Familiarize with terminal regulations and environmental/safety directives to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operations.
• Maintain relationships with terminal customers and respond to inquiries and needs.
• Assist in responding to emergencies and participate in annual emergency response drills.
• Operate computer inventory control systems and participate in inventory investigations.
