Buckeye Partners L.P. in the United States is seeking an Apprentice Terminal Operator to support our terminal, pipeline, marine and rail operations.

This entry-level role trains in receipt, storage management and inventory control of petroleum products at the field location, with hands-on exposure to equipment and safety procedures. The successful candidate will have 0–2+ years in terminal or related operations, a high school diploma, and a strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
0–2+ years related experience in terminal, pipeline or marine operations preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and analytical skills emphasized.
Good communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

Train and apply knowledge for maintenance of terminal equipment and facilities while keeping standards.
Learn to receive, store, and distribute petroleum products via pipeline, rail, and marine dock.
Understand terminal regulations and environmental/safety directives.
Maintain relationships with customers and respond to inquiries.
Respond to emergencies and participate in drills.
Operate inventory control systems and investigate inventory issues.
Assist with pipeline and marine duties as needed.
Support Asset Team and special projects.
