Job summary

Amrize seeks a Terminal Operator in Des Moines, IA, to safely operate loading equipment for rail, waterway, and road transports while ensuring accurate processing of requests. You’ll interact with Terminal Managers, customers, and subcontractors to coordinate logistics and maintain site safety and cleanliness.

The role requires a High School diploma/GED and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with basic computer skills and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment at the location to load/unload rail cars, boats and trucks.
• Maintain order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.
• Communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, sales personnel, trucking firms and suppliers.
• Perform grounds, offices, warehouse, and yard maintenance.
• Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments.
