Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Terminal Operator at the Madison Terminal WI to safely operate equipment used to load/unload rail cars, boats, and trucks while ensuring accuracy and expediency. You will also perform routine maintenance and document maintenance records for terminal equipment.

The role requires a High School diploma/GED and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with preferred Driver’s License and basic SAP/Microsoft Office skills. A strong safety mindset is essential in a plant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
• A good understanding of the basics of cement manufacturing process or logistics is preferred.
• Demonstrates technical skills in welding, machine repair, and basic electricity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
• Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, for rail, waterway, and road methods of transportation, as appropriate for the location.
• Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
• Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.
• Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
• Perform clerical functions
• Promote a culture of safety and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
