Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a terminal operator to manage receiving, storing, transferring, and loading petroleum products at a North Little Rock, AR facility. The role requires daily tank gauging, inventory input, and routine maintenance coordination.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong math skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, with a valid driver’s license and good communication skills for team collaboration and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work outdoors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor safely.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with peers and management at all levels.
• Able to use basic hand tools and perform calculations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
• Color vision for product samples.
• Team player and able to work with little supervision.
• Willing to work shifts and be reachable on pager/cell phone.
• Strong math skills for inventory calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Terminal equipment for receiving, storing, transferring, and loading petroleum products.
• Gauge storage tanks and input inventory readings daily.
• Perform daily/monthly reconciliation of inventories and thru-puts.
• Maintain facility including office building, assets, vegetation.
• Take product samples and perform quality control tests.
• Log scheduled maintenance and compliance inspections.
• Ensure terminal equipment functions and report faults.
• Conduct daily walk-around inspections for safety and housekeeping.
• Issue work permits to contractors and enforce safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisor and respond to emergencies when needed.
• Communicate outages and equipment downtime promptly to impacted parties.
