Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Terminal Operator in McPherson, KS to manage receipt and shipment of asphalt and petroleum products via barge, rail, pipeline, and truck. The role includes maintenance, safety and environmental tasks under the Terminal Manager, with a focus on accurate reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities include answering after-hours calls, handling valve alignments, using the Terminal Automation System for daily reports, and assisting in blending and transfers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year experience in terminal operations preferred.
• Safety training and hazard training preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours calls (24/7).
• Manage valve alignments and storage integrity of products.
• Use terminal automation system for inventory and balance reports.
• Forward inventory and accounting reports to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure customers have information on throughput and inventory.
• Assist in product blending and transfers.
