Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a Terminal Manager in Tupelo, MS, to lead dock operations and a team of drivers and dock workers. The role emphasizes safety, KPI performance, and a commitment to service excellence.

The ideal candidate will have LTL management experience, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and a high comfort level with technology. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a need to work roughly 50 hours per week and develop staff across shifts.

Central Transport LLC is one of the nation’s most reliable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers to date. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of:

Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM

Salary ranges from:

$75,000-$90,000 per year including up to 20% in quarterly bonuses (could earn an additional $15,000-$18,000/year in bonuses)

Terminal Manager

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal
• This includes the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Ensure company operational model compliance
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase
