General Description Of Position

As Terminal Manager, you'll oversee daily terminal operations and facilities, collaborate with drivers, and ensure exceptional service to support company success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Efficiently manage daily terminal operations—scheduling, dispatching, container tracking, and contractor payables—while analyzing KPIs and reports to identify trends and improve overall profitability.
  • Oversee and hold team accountable in the utilization of tracking systems to monitor the movement of loads in realtime, ensuring data accuracy to reduce costs, billing accuracy, and to provide accurate visibility within the system.
  • Coordinate with the safety team on equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections to keep fleets optimal, while working with customer service, customers, carriers, and terminals to accept or decline orders based on schedules and service agreements, proactively resolving conflicts to minimize disruptions.
  • Serve as a positive operations representative in customer and sales interactions, while building strong, respectful relationships with drivers as a secondary contact for operational issues.
  • Collaborate with company, sales, and recruiting teams to implement process improvements, manage work volumes, and develop new opportunities.
  • Supervise and develop staff by hiring, training, evaluating, and managing responsibilities to foster team growth and support company expansion, while recruiting the right talent through skills and competency assessments.
  • Foster a strong culture using EOS within your departments to coach, mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and productivity while continually promoting the company’s core values.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed, while taking initiative, prioritizing tasks, learning quickly, and owning projects in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Preferred but not required: over 1 year of recruitment experience and proficiency in Microsoft programs like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, stay organized, take initiative, prioritize tasks, learn quickly, and own projects in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling less than 25lbs.
  • Office setting with temperaturecontrolled offices with moderate noise levels.
  • Outside work is limited.
