Job summary

Heidelberg Materials US Cement LLC is seeking a terminal operations teammate to support bulk product handling and daily terminal functions at our Chester, VA location.

You will learn loading/unloading processes, equipment monitoring, and inventory control while adhering to safety procedures and company policies. The role may involve overtime, weekend work, and 10- to 12-hour shifts based on operational needs.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Load, unload, and transfer bulk products safely while following established procedures.
  • Assist with daily terminal operations, including product movement and equipment monitoring.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance checks and routine housekeeping to help keep the facility clean and safe.
  • Help monitor product handling activities and maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a terminal or industrial operations setting. Role involves hands‑on work around bulk products, trucks, railcars, and transfer equipment. This role requires ascending heights, outdoor work, and exposure to varying weather conditions. This role includes opportunities for overtime, weekend work, and 10- to 12-hour shifts based on operational needs. Requires use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to site safety procedures.

  • Competitive base salary $42,620 - $50,080 ($20.49 - $24.08/hr)
