Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking a Term Limited Temporary Instructional Designer to design and develop innovative eLearning solutions for supervisor, leadership, performance management, and onboarding programs.
The role requires 3 years of full development cycle experience in e-learning, a Bachelor’s in Education (or equivalent), and proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Illustrator, and Cornerstone LMS. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with up to 35 months duration.

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking a Term Limited Temporary (TLT) Instructional Designer (SA1, Utils L21) to design and develop innovative eLearning solutions for supervisor, leadership, performance management, professional skills, organizational policies & procedures and onboarding programs. The instructional designer's role is to understand how people learn and use that knowledge to create eLearning solutions that facilitate learning and behavior change using online authoring tools. Candidate will be a team player, adaptable and able to switch gears easily, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once. The position reports to the Manager of Learning and Development.

Experience: Three (3) years' experience providing full development cycle of e-learning projects from analysis to implementation.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. (If no degree, two (2) additional years of qualifying experience are required)
Combinations of appropriate education, training, certification, and experience(s) will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability.
The full salary range for this position is $51.88 per hour - $77.82 per hour.
This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. City employees will have the option to work remote two days a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
