Job summary

UC San Diego is recruiting outstanding faculty for a tenured position in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health within the Department of Medicine. The appointment at Associate or Full Professor level will be based on background and experience, with ladder rank options and protected research time.

Candidates must have MD or equivalent, PhD or MD/PhD, and an independent extramurally funded research program.

Qualifications

• Lecturing in ID fellow lecture series and clinical teaching in the clinic and hospital.
• Mentoring junior faculty, postdocs, fellows, residents and medical students.
• Leading and contributing to translational and/or basic research programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide lectures and patient-based teaching in clinical settings.
• Mentor and supervise junior researchers and trainees.
• Maintain an independent extramurally funded research program.
