Job summary

The University of Houston Law Center invites applications for a tenured Associate or Full Professor position in health law to begin in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will teach upper-level health law and may teach 1L courses, with potential for a chair or professorship based on experience and qualifications. The appointee will be affiliated with HLPI and UHLC’s programs.

Candidates must hold a J.D. or equivalent and demonstrate an excellent record of health law scholarship, strong teaching,

Qualifications

• Must hold a J.D. degree and have an excellent record of health law scholarship.
• Strong teaching record and a proven commitment to service indicating future contribution to UH Law Center and UH.
• Rank at appointment will be based on academic and scholarly record.

Responsibilities

• Teach upper-level health law courses.
• Willingness to teach elsewhere in the UHLC curriculum, including 1L courses.
• Affiliation with UHLC's Health Law & Policy Institute (HLPI) and related activities.
