Job summary

University of Houston Law Center invites applications for a tenured Associate or Full Professor position in health law to begin in Fall 2027. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a chair or professorship depending on experience and qualifications.

Applicants must hold a J.D. degree with an excellent record of health law scholarship and a strong teaching record, plus a proven commitment to service within the UHLC and UH communities.

Qualifications

• Hold a J.D. degree (or the equivalent) with an excellent record of health law scholarship.
• Strong teaching record and demonstrated commitment to service.
• Rank at appointment will be based on academic and scholarly credentials.

Responsibilities

• Teach upper-level health law courses and contribute to the UHLC curriculum.
• Willingness to teach other UHLC courses and 1L courses as needed.
• May be eligible for a chair or professorship depending on experience and qualifications.
