The Department of English at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking two 9-month tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting 8/23/2027. We invite applicants with expertise in Writing Studies, focusing on professional and technical writing, digital content and UX, or emerging writing technologies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Writing Studies or related field. The degree must be earned by the end of the first academic year.
• Evidence of the ability to be an effective instructor.
• Evidence of clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and advise students.
• Maintain currency in the content area and provide regular feedback on student work.
• Contribute to service, scholarship, and professional activities within the department and university.
